English Moscow Comedy presents: Headliner of the month!

Each month, English Moscow Comedy is bringing a professional comedian from abroad to Moscow, thus introducing local audiences to some of the best international talent.

Our June headliner is... Helgi Steinar from Iceland!

Helgi Steinar is an international touring comedian from Iceland! Taking on stereotypes, nationalism and the things that unite as well as divide us, Helgi Steinar will be debuting his 5th one-hour comedy special in Russia this year after 24 sold out shows at the 2018 Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Helgi received a three-star rating from The List, calling him a «multi-talented and multi-faceted comic».

After having started his career performing standup comedy in Beijing, Helgi Steinar went on to tour around China in cities like Shanghai, Dalian and Suzhou. In 2018 he organized the first Icelandic comedy tour of that country performing with a few of Iceland‘s top comedians to packed rooms from Wuhan to the Northern Capital. Helgi has performed in comedy clubs from Glasgow to Reykjavik to Minneapolis and has opened up for comedians like Pete Johansson, Tom Stade and Bill Burr.
